Here's my post about failure: a brand new interview series called FailStack! After experiencing a number of setbacks in 2024, I got tired of pretending everything was "fine" when inside, I felt like a massive failure. I decided to start FailStack, a place for real, honest conversations about our relationship to failure and how it shapes our lives. The first interview is now live! In the spirit of leading by example, it's with myself. https://creativeletters.substack.com/p/failstack-1

Hi everyone, this is my first Seed Pod post. I am a futurist and my post is about why we seem to be living through a failure of imagination. https://alisabelmas.substack.com/p/everything-is-a-mess-but-nothing

Hey Everyone!

I'm a little late to the party, but excited to be here.

My post is about my year trying to conceive. Spoiler-alert. We failed. I'm not pregnant yet.

The post is here: https://open.substack.com/pub/3generationswellness/p/lessons-and-hope-from-a-year-of-trying

I'm newish to Substack, under 200 subscribers, and very eager to engage, grow, support, and learn. Thanks so much for creating these opportunities.

Here's my post, ironically about almost failing to get up a new post since my first ever post (as part of the SeedPod#2)!

As part of this Smallstack Seed Pod I've delved into the failures of my life that I can't help my mind wandering to and obsessing over. We all have them, and opening them up to the world shines new light on them.

I used the latest Seep Pods prompt to explore the 'failure' that attends writing about music, a topic I'd been wanting to explore for a while. Those scare quotes indicate that I consider this failure to be questionable, something that might be equally framed as success. Though serious in tone, it's supposed to be a playful piece. If that doesn't come across, that's my failure.

Hi everyone, I've finally done my Seed Pod post! I've written about fortuitous failure: seeing my failures as lucky (losing) breaks that led me to different pathways and opportunities that wouldn't otherwise have arisen. Looking forward to reading your posts too.

My post about failure is a recovery story. It’s a little heavy but ends up hopeful: https://open.substack.com/pub/drearydendrophile/p/when-failure-leads-to-survival?r=9xlud&utm_medium=ios

This offering feels very serendipitous, as I already planned to write about "Gifting Ourselves Second Chances". 🥳 In my post, I wrote about how a "missed" opportunity really highlighted for me the importance of giving ourselves second chances. As well as how failures are, in many ways, the "soil" from which we grow, evolve, and blossom.

Great piece, Lou! I especially resonate with, "Reframing failure into opportunity can lead to success." In the life coaching program I've nearly completed (iPEC), one of our principles is there's no such thing as "failure". The point being that they are opportunities to learn, grow, change, shift, become, try again, and so on. The more I reflect on my life, the more I see how my "failures", over-and-over-again, are what made me a more kind, caring, compassionate, and loving person.

This is about competition and the extremes we think about or do to prevent failure. I suggest that we have a competition within us that can be dangerous based on societal conditioning. This is not a good thing. There are lots of possibilities for discussion. That is what I try to encourage with each post. https://open.substack.com/pub/strawbridgeideas/p/beware-of-the-daniel-plainview-in?r=333v1n&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false

When Robin C first mentioned the idea of Failure for a Seed Pod, I did a little happy dance. Just so happens failure has some overlap with rejection. Go figure! Read about how ways we at 100 Rejections Club embrace rejection, and how the techniques apply to this Seed Pod theme.

Wow, Lizzy! That's so beautiful, heart wrenching, and inspiring. Thank you for sharing yourself and your journey with us like this! Because of a freak accident on a family friendly hike in 2008, I became disabled (severe traumatic brain injury, no peripheral vision, no depth perception, etc.). I mention that because what your powerful writing revealed to me was how there's this narrative that disability = "failure". And I can feel the ways that's affected and impacted me; which helps me become free of those shackles. Thank you! 🫶🏽
