Announcing Brag & Tag: A New Space to Lift Each Other Up
Go ahead, strut your stuff
Hello, lovely community! Looking back over our last few posts, we realized that we’ve been talking a lot about us—what we’re doing, what we’re publishing, what’s up next. What can we say, we’re excited!
This week, we’re turning it back over to you. As Substack starts to feel more and more like social media (ugh), we keep hearing from small creators who feel like they’re shouting into the void, pouring out their hearts and creative energy only to be ignored by the algorithm in favor of larger, increasingly homogenous voices.
That’s not how we roll at SmallStack and Small Robin Press.
Forget the Algorithm. Let’s Lift Each Other Up Right Here.
Today is our first Brag & Tag, a quarterly-ish community chat that’s dedicated to lifting each other up the human way—one friendly shout-out, “hear-hear,” and pat on the pack at a time.
Ways to participate (feel free to do one or both):
Brag about something you’re proud of in the comments—big, little, doesn’t matter. Don’t be shy. Share links if you have them. Shout your achievements loud and proud. We’ll hear you and celebrate with you!
Restack this post and tag a friend—share the love and give a shout-out to a friend. To tag them, restack this post in a Note and type the “@” symbol followed by their name. You can also leave a comment and send them the link to this post.
Tag, you’re it!

SmallStack was born as a place for small creators to be seen and loved, and our roots will forever honor the best parts of being—and staying—small. Our community is even better with you in it.

So...I just started a brand new STACK! Launched on Friday, it's called Wham! Bam! Thank You! Slam! and it's a monthly storytelling event for cis/trans women and non-binary folx. The best thing for anyone to do to find out more is to go check it out. I'm so proud of this, and ready to support women's voices (I already do, but this my wheelhouse, live storytelling). it will be a place for people to tell their stories, to get support and promotion for their stacks, and to maybe do something they've never done before and meet other fab writers on the platform!
Get in touch if you want to tell a story or have questions. After 30 hours on Substack we ranked #11 Rising in Humor! I want to stir things up. xo

I'm here to tag Queer Resilience and their super-cool Holiday Season Love Note Project for the Trans Community, because how incredibly awesome is it for someone to put together an entire project to spread love to a community who needs it right now??!? And if you also think this is a fantastic idea, you can jump in with your own kind words (they can even be anonymous, if you'd like) to light up a trans person you might not even know.
Here are some ideas of things you can say (feel free to copy and paste or customize, or just go wild and create your own message!!):
* I love you and think you're awesome!
* The holidays can be a difficult time, and I'm thinking of you.
* My trans and queer family and friends make my life more beautiful and vibrant, and I'm thankful for them.
