This week marks the official launch of the SmallStack Library!
If you haven’t checked it out yet, head over to the Library now to peruse over 400 of our listings. If our format feels new or unfamiliar, the whole SmallStack Team is here to help answer your questions in this SmallTalk thread.
Curious about how to navigate the Library? Do you see something that you weren’t expecting? Are you excited about the next 1500 listings coming? Tell us in the comments! This SmallTalk thread is our version of an Open House for you to join us in celebrating, enjoying, and getting curious about the SmallStack Library together.
Ask us a question about how to find your way around the Library.
Point us to a link to a publication you’ve found in the Library that you enjoy!
Tell us your thoughts and impressions about Launch Week, the Library itself, or our new Featured Posts series.
The SmallTalk Open House will stay open for the entire week of our Launch, through Monday, September 30.
SmallTalk is here for you! This is your space to build relationships, share your thoughts, and grow together. A few reminders to help you get the most out of this space:
Sharing is caring! Unless otherwise stated, you are always welcome to include a link to a post—by you or someone you admire—to help others find great resources or information. Whether you wrote it or love it, we want to see it!
Leave a note. Original comments to the thread can also be shared as a note if you click on the little box at the lower left.
Make new friends. This is a place where beautiful collaborations are born. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, celebrate each others’ wins, and reach out to people you’d like to collaborate with. We’re all supporting each other here.
Such an incredible project! Congratulations on launching it. My Summer on Substack stats told me I spent over 2 million hours reading Substack articles. You have now doomed me completely 😁😍
This is beautiful and such an incredible gesture. Thank you! I can’t wait to spend the fall perusing the library and finding more mighty SmallStack pubs to subscribe to. 🫶🏼💪🫶🏼
Hi Thaddeus, there is actually a button in Monday's post, but you are right that we didn't link to the library anywhere in today's thread! Whoops! I have remedied that now. You can also bookmark https://smallstacklibrary.com/ to visit the library anytime.
My goodness. The library page is gorgeous! Congratulations. Listing the subscriber count may be something you talk about. Much time and many subscribers have passed under the bridge. 😆 Beautiful work.
Congratulations, Small Stack team! We SmallStackers see and acknowledge your Herculean effort to put this library together. Thank you from all of us! 🙏🏼
I have to say, it's been pretty phenomenal to launch this Library and have pretty much everyone in the community respond with........ happiness! I thought of a dozen ways things could go wrong, and it turns out that worrying was entirely misplaced.
That said, I also see a few things I'm eager to change and improve, and I'm really excited about the feedback you're all bringing with you.
My stack isn't listed yet, but I've been having a great time going through the categories and looking for new things to read. Yesterday I found a really interesting breakdown on Islamic calligraphy ( https://notesonpaper.substack.com/p/layered-masterpieces-episode-1 ).
Ah, Notion. Great app. Wish I had more uses for it. 😅 The Library looks awesome guys! Excited to see my Sub become part of it.
This is a fantastic resource, thank you to everyone involved in putting this together!
Congrats to everyone on the SmallStack team! Looking forward to finding new friends and reads in the library :)
Congrats !!!!
Congratulations and thank you, Robin!

That's a lot of hours! Impressive!
I genuinely think their calculator got it wrong - I typically read Substack in the morning not the afternoon, too 🤷♀️

I am in awe of all the work that has gone into making this a reality. I’m so excited to fall down all the rabbit holes this has opened up.
Congratulations and thank you. It’s beautiful.
Am I missing something? I don't see a link to the library anywhere on either post.

I’m enjoying discovering new writers here! Thanks so much!
Yea, I've fallen down a small stack rabbit hole, finding some good reads on all sorts of things.
